2023 Pepper Fest Medallion Hunt Clues

The first clue will be posted at 1:00pm on Friday, August 11th, and at 1:00pm each day thereafter.

Clue #1 - Friday, August 11th

The Medallion is the same size and difficult to find

You will NEVER need a tool to dig, so leave your rakes and shovels behind

It could be in Hudson as per the rules they do say

But we’re proud of the community where this one is hidden away.

Clue Meaning: Directed you to NORTH HUDSON

Remember to be safe, behave and have a good time!

Clue #2 - Saturday, August 12th

The community is small but has lots of places to see

There’s more to the area than just a Park or a Tree

If it was easy to find…what fun would that be?

Clue Meaning: Parks in North Hudson are larger than you think - not just a playground. See all the land that is considered part of the park.

Clue #3 - Sunday, August 13th

You haven’t found me, let’s start to narrow it down.

There are new parts and old parts of the village around.

Now what’s a good clue…just let me see?

30 years ago, you would never find me!

Clue Meaning: This is a new park in North Hudson. It was all woods 30 years ago.

Clue #4 - Monday, August 14th

My value has increased,

there is now $500 for you.

I want you to find me,

So here’s my next clue.

I’ve got many fans,

Like Winnie the Pooh.

I feel I really lazy,

As I lay on the ground.

Usually I’m really busy,

With all my friends all around.

Clue Meaning: Medallion was hidden in an old bee’s hive, laying in a bush on the ground.

Clue #5 - Tuesday, August 15th

Please come and find me,

I do not want to stay.

I’m right next to a place,

where children can play.

I look towards Lake Mallalieu

to watch the sunrise.

If you know where I’m at,

then come claim your prize.

Clue Meaning: The Medallion was hidden on the ridge of the Park that can oversee most of North Hudson.

Clue #6 - Wednesday, August 16th

I normally have great workers,

just like the Pepper King.

But if you disturb me,

I’m not afraid to sting.

Usually when people see me,

they run and they scream.

But we’re just doing our job,

and supporting our Queen.

Clue Meaning: Provided more details that the medallion was hidden in an old Bee hive.

Clue #7 - Thursday, August 17th

This hunt is the best! I’ve had a lot of fun.

But please come and find me, in the park where deer run.

Just look for my hive, I promise you won’t get stung.

If you see a red pepper, then you have the right one.

Clue Meaning: The medallion was hidden in Deer Park in an old bee hive with a pepper on the side.
